I think that what they want is the Hispanic vote taken away from the Republicans. They are a bunch of crooks. Sen Kennedy said: Anybody jumping the fence now should get a greencard.
What abot the legal ones tha t habe been here 5+ years waiting for a GC.
Sensible people are those who don't get carried away by emotions. I know that is a very subjective definition :) but I tried.

I got same exact response as you regarding 60 days wait - only difference is my name check is still pending. Personally, I don't trust this any more until I get it...

I took a printout of the receiver's signature image and the tracking information from the Fedex website just in case.
My attorney also mentioned that he submitted my case to the NSC liaison (I think he is referring to the AILA liaison of the NSC center) for follow up to see if they can help confirm the status of my application.
I'll keep you posted on the progress.

This is true. A majority of the Dems are sensible people. BTW, although they are against outsourcing, they are not against immigration. The two issues are quite different.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.

My husband's coworker s from his first/second employers who came during same time are close to get citizenship. If my husband wouldn't have switched his jobs for his carrier advancements and salary then we also would have applied for citizenship by now. But we don't regret our decision at all. We feel sad sometimes but depressed by not getting GC by now, instead we spend that energy in advancement of our skills and carrier. We have many people among our friend circle who are waiting for GC for many years but we decided to enjoy our life as much as we can and not to bring any GC related depression in our life. If you have such friends among you then it becomes very easy to get out of this depression.

I took an infopass appointment today. The IO sent an e-mail to NSC after taking details like DOB, address etc. for me and my wife.
btw, FP for us has been scheduled. Looks like they have some kind of a queue for that but a notice has not been sent out.
So that was it. Am going to wait it out patiently.

Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

You can still go to court against the congress, that is what is the freedom of constitution in this country.
Since Obama administration has a open door policy, why don't we take a appointment and discuss this issue ?

I think what has happened here is that DOS was frustrated with the pace in which USCIS was processing applications. So in order to push them to work faster, they made all categories current. This strategy worked and USCIS approved 60,000 visa in 15 0r 20 or however many days.
Then USCIS communicated with DOS that annual quota has been exhausted and thus DOS published the revised bulletin.

I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!...

BHai log : when some of my friends called USCIS they said they are NOT going to return the Files FOR NOW , i dont know why and what for . SO if somebody receives the files (which i dont think is going to happen so quickly though) please let us know asap.

Guys inorder for DOS or DHS or USCIS to get the message they will FIRST and FOREMOST have to understand WHO Gandhi is. For that we will have to attach a few pages of documentation about Mahatma Gandhi. By the time the message gets to the correct person's hands AND he/she understands the true meaning of the message, the person will think we insulted them, coz the the flowers will be dead and dried up and STINKY.
